REVIEW: The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Cycle, #4)

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love’s death. She doesn’t believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

Goodreads rating: 4.22/5🌟

My rating: 4/5🌟

This book took me MONTHS to finish. Not because it was not good, but because I was too busy, and eventually, fell into a reading slump.

The raven boys held a special place in my heart, as did Blue. Gansey and Blue’s romance was one of the most innocent ones I had read in a long time. They just coveted each other, not in a lustful way, but at the same time, quite passionate. Ronan and Adam, and Henry–their character development was very apparent in this book, especially Henry’s. He easily became one of my favourite characters in this book.

As for the plot, honestly speaking, I was confused with so many things that happened in the whole book series, the series of events that made me catch my breath and reread the paragraphs to fully grasp what was happening. At times, it was too much for my dull brain to comprehend, but they were all necessary.

The story unraveled nicely, and the book ended in a bittersweet manner. I loved this book, and I wish I hadn’t fallen into a slump while reading this.
